May 3, 2017

Clark Engineering has hired bridge engineer Nick Palecek, PE, to manage the firm’s new office in Pierre, South Dakota, which opened last month at 1205 North Harrison Avenue, Suite 101, Pierre, SD, 57501. This is Clark’s fourth office in South Dakota.

Clark Engineering has long envisioned expanding its presence to central South Dakota. The Pierre office positions the firm to provide highly responsive professional services to public and private clients in the area with a local team.

Office Manager Nick Palecek, PE, has more than 12 years of bridge design experience, nine of which were spent in the Office of Bridge Design at the South Dakota Department of Transportation. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and is a Registered Professional Engineer in South Dakota.

Palecek has already been working on several bridge design projects for Clark’s clients and is working with firm leaders to build a team in the new Pierre office. “With his experience and connections, Nick is a natural choice to lead our Pierre office,” said Kevin Goff, PE, a Clark Principal who serves as the firm’s Vice President of Civil Engineering. “Nick has the right mix of technical skill and customer focus to be a strong leader for Clark as we deliver quality projects for a growing client base.”
