Clark Welcomes Senior Project Engineer Yanling Leng

Clark Engineering is excited to announce the hire of Dr. Yanling Leng, PE, a Senior Project Engineer in our office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Dr. Leng is a Registered Professional Engineer experienced in bridge design, load rating, and forensic analysis. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering with a Minor in Applied Statistics from New Mexico State University. Dr. Leng has a MS in Bridge Engineering from the Research Institute of Highway, Ministry of Transport in China and a BS in Road Engineering from Chongqing Jiaotong University.

Prior to joining Clark Engineering, Dr. Leng was a teaching assistant and research assistant at New Mexico State University and adjunct research at the Research Institute of Highway Ministry of Transport in China. Her research focused on developing refined safety evaluation procedures for highway bridges. Her proposed approaches show promise for refining the current load rating code for highway bridges, as well as providing applicable procedures for risk analysis and failure analysis for bridge structures. Ms. Leng also completed internships for engineering firms in Maryland and Florida.

Yanling’s expertise will be very beneficial in helping our clients maximize the safety and useful life of their structures.”
